Used two olive cans from our Thanksgiving feast and a string to make phones today. They say they can now talk to each other from their rooms (about three feet apart). Silly kids!
Apple time!
A huge thank you to my cousin Vicki for sharing the abundance from her apple trees. Three bags down, one to go!
Apple juice, a dozen apples and it’ll be gone in an instant. I keep forgetting how many apples it takes to get more than one glass of juice. This is a dozen.Roasted Applesauce with Sage, my all time new favorite applesauce recipe.
I love food and my food loves me
They grow so fast!
Both of the mini men seem to have outgrown their pants in the last month or so, so we put them up against the wall chart and #1 son is now about 4″ taller than the highest measurement and #2 son is at the topmost mark. Looks like we’re going to have to start using the wall.
I know it sounds silly, but time really does fly by.
Summer fruit
I finally made it to the Farmer’s Market on lunch the other day. Arrived 30 minutes before the close of market and got all the deals I was hoping for. It was sad to see that most of my favorite summer fruits for making jam are almost gone for the season. Perhaps I’ll try again next week and see if I can preserve some of that summer goodness.
Meantime I’m thinking of making some ketchup before these beauties are through.
Fantastic Mother’s Day gift that just keeps on giving. Thanks sissy!
He likes reds, I like whites
Lori’s green thumb
Miss Bianca’s Birthday Bag
It was about 6″ tall by the time I was done. Wet felted the bag body then needled the flower and the scalloped top. This was my first stab at wet felting a bag, needed to reinforce in some areas. I think I’ll stick with fulling knitted bags. Had to tell em I made it myself, they thought I bought it!
My new website!
